Terryl Hicks grew up in southeast Louisiana, and earned a journalism degree from The University of Alabama, where she met her husband-to-be, Tony. She has worked in a variety of positions, including Community Relations Manager for Barnes & Noble Booksellers in Birmingham and Dallas, and Administrative Assistant to the Pastor at a church in Texas, before becoming Clifton’s secretary in May of 2011.
Terryl and Tony married in 1994, and are the parents of two teenage sons. In addition to her role as church secretary/administrative assistant/church clerk, she works with Children’s Director Shelley Stewart in the CBC Kids Ministry, teaching Children’s Bible Drill and helping with other children’s activities. She is actively involved in her boys’ school, is a semi-professional photographer, and serves as the workshop coordinator for Nick Kelsh Photography Workshops. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Parenting After Infertility, an online ministry for Christian women raising children after struggling with infertility. She loves photography, scrapbooking, reading (mostly Christian fiction), hanging out with her family, and avoiding housework.Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
